1962 Chevrolet Impala SS

This Chevy Impala was bought site-unseen. Advertised as ' a matching numbers, 409 car'  at $55,000.

This is how it looked when it came to our resto shop.

Inspection revealed the floor of the car was in very shape. The boot floor was missing. Sections of the chassis were badly rusted.

A new boot pan was sourced, and the team set to fabricate the entire floor.

Tackling rust repair with custom fabrication. New sills were installed on both sides.  

New quarter panels for both sides were sourced and welded into place. The focus here is to recreate the body lines to match how it rolled off the production line.

The build continues. The wheels are borrowed, whilst installing the suspension gear.
